Heading 6
The morning wind spreads it's fresh smell.
We must get up and take that in,
that wind that lets us live.
Breath before it's gone.

Somatic coaching for people carrying hard experiences

Resource centered ~ Trauma-informed ~ At your pace

You know why you do it. You still do it.

You've done the therapy and read the books. You can explain your patterns better than anyone. And still, when it counts, your body does what it always does.

That happens a lot. Many patterns live in the body as well as the head. Knowing why isn't always enough to change them.

In somatic coaching, we pay attention to what's going on in your body right now: your breath, your tension, the gut feeling you've been talking yourself out of. We build on what's already working in you. We go at your pace. Nothing gets forced. Beyond Relief.

Where this comes from

I'm a life coach (trained in Martha Beck's Wayfinder Life Coach Training) and a Biodynamic Craniosacral therapist, and this work is a big part of what I do. It comes from four places: my own journey through hard experiences, my Wayfinder training, years of BCST training and practice, where everything is about listening and following what a person's system is ready for, and a health-centered way of seeing people. You're not a problem to fix. You have resources, and we start there. I'm now adding Mindlight's Trauma-Integration and Practitioner Training. It fits how I already work, and it deepens it.

What a session looks like

We start with a free 20-minute call. In sessions, we begin with what's going on for you today. I might invite you to notice your breath, your feet on the floor, or where you feel tense or calm. You choose how far to go. We can slow down or stop any time. And you don't have to tell me your story to do this work.

Things you'll practice

  • Finding your feet and your breath when things feel like too much

  • Noticing what your body is telling you

  • Small ways to feel steadier, like looking around the room or taking a slow breath

  • Catching an old reaction before it takes over

  • Remembering what already helps, and doing more of it

People use this to

  • Notice old reactions while they're happening

  • Work on patterns they already know about but can't shake

  • Trust their gut again

  • Find a steady feeling they can come back to when things get stressful

  • Get from "I understand my story" to "I'm living differently"

Questions people ask

~ Do I have to talk about what happened? ~

This work is not talk-focused. We share in order to reveal the wound, so that we can notice what arises in body and mind. We work with what’s here now.

 ~ Is this therapy? ~

No. It's coaching. I work alongside your therapist or doctor, not instead of them.

~ Does it involve touch? ~

No. Coaching is conversation and body awareness. BCST is a separate service.

~ Can we meet online? ~

Yes, and many people prefer it.

 ~ How many sessions? ~

Many people start with 3 sessions to see how it feels and whether we’re a good fit. To go deeper, a series of 7 to 10 gives us room to really work together. Deeper patterns show up in many areas of life, and the brain likes repetition, so a few more sessions help your new way of being settle in. You’re never locked in, and we check in along the way.

~ What if I'm in crisis? ~

Call or text 988, or call 911. I can also help you find a therapist. This work builds upon a ground of safety.

~ Is this the right time? ~

This work needs a basic foundation of safety around you, like a safe place to be and people who aren’t harming you. If your situation isn’t safe right now, or you need more support than coaching can offer, I’ll help you find the right help first. I’m happy to work with you later, or alongside it.

This is coaching, not therapy or medical care.

I work alongside your therapist or doctor, never in place of them.
